Please find attached the nomination form for In-Class Support (ICS) 2021. The deadline for ICS nominations for 2021 is 5pm Thursday 17th September 2020. The region has decided the priority will be Years 3-10 as it has been in previous years.
Please send all nominations, with attachments, to ics.canterbury@education.govt.nz.
Your liaison RTLB will be available to support SENCos & LSCs review the applications throughout the process, and before submitting the application as final.
Important Information:Our cluster has decided a few changes to make things a little easier and clearer:
There is no requirement to complete a BURT or Spelling assessment unless you believe this adds additional information for the panel
A PM Benchmark reading assessment is required for primary schools, a PROBE is accepted for Intermediate and High Schools
Writing samples need to be handwritten and annotated to indicate any level of support received, and the timeframe that the sample was written in
IEPs need to have been reviewed and clearly show progress against the goals
Kura/Bilingual/Full immersion: Please feel welcome to write your nomination forms in te reo Māori and use your equivalent assessment as we will have Rau Timoti on the panel who will support the moderation process
